Giveaways & engagement

A Telegram giveaway bot that rewards your real members.

Most giveaways pick a random name from everyone who tapped a button — including accounts that arrived an hour ago just for the prize. Limzo rewards the people who actually make your group: winners come from real activity, under rules you set, and every entrant’s numbers are public. Pro and Ultra; the preview is free.

Four ways to pick winners

A weighted raffle where karma earned during the giveaway adds tickets, the most active members, a fair random draw, or your own pick from the members who qualify.

Giveaway hunters don’t win

Ask for a minimum number of messages, days in the group or a badge, keep admins out, and let recent winners sit out. Accounts that join just for the prize don’t qualify.

A draw anyone can check

Limzo stores the random seed and freezes every entrant’s numbers at the draw. With public results, the group’s stats page lists them all under the winners.

How to run a giveaway in a Telegram group

Telegram’s built-in giveaways hand out Telegram Premium or Stars, paid in advance, to winners picked at random. For any other prize — merch, a game key, a role, a shout-out — or to reward the members who actually show up, you need a bot. With Limzo it takes a minute:

  • Add Limzo to your group as an admin (setup guide).
  • Open the Limzo Mini App → Giveaways, write the prize, and choose how winners are picked, who can win and when it ends.
  • Tap Start the giveaway. Limzo posts it with a 🎉 Join button and announces the winners at the hour you chose, in your group’s timezone.

Every member who taps Join gets a private pop-up saying whether they are in and what is still missing — no DMs, no extra chat noise. Before you start, Preview who qualifies shows the last 7 days as if everyone had joined, with each member’s odds. The preview works on the Free plan; running giveaways is part of Pro and Ultra.

Fair by design

Giveaways live or die on trust: when one name comes out of a black box, members assume the admins picked a friend. Limzo answers with numbers:

  • Tickets are earned, never bought. In the weighted raffle each member gets 1 ticket for joining plus the karma they earn during the giveaway, capped at 25 a day, so one burst of spam can’t decide it. Entering is always free.
  • Every entrant’s numbers are public. With public results in a public group, the stats page lists the winners and every entrant’s tickets or messages, so anyone can see why the winner won.
  • Winners must claim. A ✅ Claim button sits under the results. For the automatic methods, a winner who doesn’t claim in time is replaced by another member who qualifies.
  • Admins can’t win unless you allow it — and when the admins choose the winners themselves, the results post says so.

Limzo runs the draw. The prize is yours.

Limzo never holds, sends or guarantees a prize, and it never messages members privately — not to announce a win, not to ask for details. You contact your winners and hand the prize over. That also makes scams easy to spot: tell your members that anyone writing to them as Limzo about a prize is a fraud.

Extras: a reminder 24 hours before the end, a weekly repeat that starts the next giveaway on its own, private results only admins see, and one tap to reward last week’s top 3 from the hall of fame. Every setting is explained in the giveaway guide.

Common questions

Yes. Telegram’s own giveaways only hand out Premium or Stars and pick winners at random. Limzo runs giveaways for any prize you offer: members tap Join in the group, and Limzo picks the winners at the time you set — by weighted raffle, most activity, random draw, or your own pick.
Winners come from real activity in your group, and you set the bar: a minimum number of messages during the giveaway, a minimum number of days in the group, or a minimum badge. Accounts that join just for the prize don’t qualify, and recent winners can sit out for up to 8 weeks.
No. Limzo runs the draw, never holds, sends or guarantees prizes, and never messages members privately. The admins hand the prize over themselves; the winner confirms with a Claim button in the group.
Running giveaways is part of Limzo Pro and Ultra. On the Free plan you can open the Giveaways page and preview who would qualify, with each member’s odds. Entering a giveaway is always free for members.
