Welcome new members

Greet every new member with a welcome they will actually read.

Every group gets an automatic, multilingual welcome for free. Pro lets you write your own message, add an image and a button, and format the text. Either way it is batched, raid-safe, and waits for your captcha.

A smart welcome, free

Every new member gets one friendly, batched greeting in your group’s language, with the week’s champion and a link to your public stats page. On every plan, including Free.

Make it yours (Pro)

Write a custom message with {name}, {count} and {group}, add a welcome image and one inline button (like “Read the rules”), and format the text: bold, italic, quotes.

Raid-safe and captcha-aware

Joins in a burst collapse into a single message, never a flood. And when newcomer verification is on, the greeting waits until a member passes the captcha, so a bot that never verifies is never welcomed.

How to set a Telegram welcome message

Add Limzo to your group, then open Limzo Mini App → Reports → New members. “Greet new members” is on by default and sends the built-in multilingual welcome. To customize it, type your own text in Custom welcome text and use {name}, {count} and {group} as placeholders; leave the box empty to keep the default greeting in your group’s language.

Pro groups can also upload a welcome image, add an inline link button, and format the message. An optional Auto-delete the welcome switch removes the greeting a few minutes after it posts, to keep the chat tidy.

More than a greeting

The welcome is one part of a full community engagement bot. The same bot measures activity, rewards helpful members with karma, levels and achievements, posts one weekly highlight, and gives your group a public stats page, while its moderation system, newcomer captcha and join and leave cleanup keep the chat clean. One quiet bot instead of a stack of single-purpose ones.

Common questions

Add Limzo, then open the Mini App and go to Reports → New members → Custom welcome text. Leave it empty for the default multilingual greeting, or write your own using {name}, {count} and {group} placeholders.
Yes. Every group gets an automatic multilingual welcome free. Customizing it with your own text, an image, a button and rich formatting is part of Limzo Pro.
Not when newcomer verification is on: Limzo holds the greeting until the member taps “I’m human”, so an account that fails the captcha and is removed is never welcomed. Bursts of joins are also batched into one message.
Free to start
