Weekly rankings: what counts and when it resets

Limzo counts a week in two ways. Top members, MVP and the other weekly awards use the last 7 days — a window that moves forward one day at a time and never drops to zero. The weekly league uses the calendar week and starts from zero every Monday at 00:00 UTC. Early in the week the two numbers can be far apart. Both are correct, and both come straight from the chat: admins cannot change anyone’s count.

It is Tuesday, 10:00 UTC, and Ana has posted every day:

Wednesday to Sunday belonged to last week’s league, so this week’s league only has Monday and Tuesday. At 00:00 UTC on Wednesday, last Wednesday’s 40 messages leave the 7-day window while the league keeps adding up. By Sunday both cover the same seven days, Monday to Sunday, and Ana’s two numbers match.

On the public page, MVP follows the range tab you pick: with 30 days selected, MVP means the most messages in 30 days, while the league panel always shows the current week. Days are counted in UTC for every group — the timezone in Mini App → Settings only decides when scheduled posts go out.

Every message a member sends in the group counts once — text, photos, videos, voice notes and stickers alike. Not counted: other bots, posts auto-forwarded from a linked channel, messages Limzo removes as spam, and messages with no real content, such as a bare command. Editing a message never counts it twice, and deleting a message later does not take it off the count — Telegram does not tell bots about deletions. If a group reaches its plan’s monthly tracking limit, counting pauses until the next month and admins are notified.

Three rules decide who is shown where:

• Admins. Top members lists admins too, marked 👑. The awards and the league are for members only, so an admin at #1 in Top members never appears in the league or wins MVP.
• Quiet members. The league panel names up to 8 members per tier and sums up the rest as “+N more”. Members with a single message that week still count toward the tiers but are not named.
• Tiers are shares, not targets. Diamond is the top 10% of the members ranked that week, Platinum the next 15%, Gold the next 25%, Silver the next 25%, and Bronze the rest — so the lines between tiers move as more people join in.

None of these rules change anyone’s count; they only decide where a name appears.

MVP goes to the member with the most messages in the last 7 days. That window never empties, so someone who posts every day can hold MVP week after week — that is the rule working, not a stuck counter. If they slow down, they lose it within 7 days. The league is where everyone starts level again each Monday.

If your group gives out weekly prizes:

• Read the league on Sunday (UTC). It is the only day the league and the 7-day lists cover exactly the same days. The league starts over on Monday and the finished week is not shown afterwards, so take a screenshot before the reset.
• Post the recap on Sunday. Pro and Community groups can set the day and hour of the weekly recap — pick an hour that is still Sunday in UTC and its numbers match the league. Otherwise the recap goes out on the group’s busiest day, which can be any day of the week.
• Use numbers that start over. In a points formula, use league messages or the league tier (Bronze = 1 up to Diamond = 5). Member levels only grow, so multiplying by level favours long-time members more every week.
• Never delete stats to reset the week. Settings → Data controls erases every member’s level, XP, achievements, game scores and warnings for good — and the weekly numbers start over on their own anyway.

Weekly league: every Monday at 00:00 UTC — that is Monday 07:00 in Jakarta and Sunday 20:00 in New York (19:00 in winter).
Top members, MVP and awards: never all at once — each day at 00:00 UTC the oldest day drops out and a new one starts.
Levels, XP and achievements: no weekly reset — they are long-term progress.
