A privacy policy in plain language.

Limzo turns Telegram group activity into fun, shareable stats. This page explains exactly what it stores, why, how long, and how you delete it. No dark patterns, no data selling.

Limzo (“Limzo”, “we”, “us”) is an analytics and community-engagement bot for Telegram groups, with a companion Mini App for admins and a public stats page for each group. This policy covers the Limzo bot, the Mini App, and the limzo.com website. Limzo is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Telegram.

Who the data is about

Limzo only sees a group after an admin adds it as an admin member — that action is what tells Telegram to deliver the group's messages to the bot. Telegram groups are shared spaces, and the admin who adds Limzo is confirming they have authority to enable analytics for that group.

Limzo cannot read a group's history from before it joined, cannot see private one-to-one chats, and cannot read groups it hasn't been added to. It processes ongoing messages in the groups where it is an admin, plus the interactions admins have with the Mini App.

What we store

Most of what Limzo keeps is aggregated counters — numbers, not conversations. The core of it:

  • Activity counts — messages per member per day, active hours, replies given and received, reactions given and received, emoji use, and conversation starts.
  • Game-layer data — karma, XP and level, badge tiers, achievement unlocks, streaks, and any flair a member bought.
  • Group profile — group name, username, member count, and admin roster, so the bot knows who can manage settings.
  • Optional quote candidates — short excerpts of notable messages used for “quote of the week” and the public page. These can be switched off entirely.
  • Limited message metadata — for a plan-based window we keep lightweight signals (length, whether it was a question, reply links, reaction totals) that power the fun stats. This is metadata, not a full message archive.
  • Moderation actions — a short history of what the anti-spam layer removed, so the public page and reports stay clean. Spam links and usernames confirmed in several unrelated groups can feed a shared network blocklist — only the blocked value is shared, never your members or messages, and the shield has a per-group off switch.

Word-level stats (the word cloud) are a paid feature and are not stored at all on the Free plan. Limzo does not track members across other groups into a single global profile, does not build advertising profiles, and does not sell data to anyone.

How long we keep it

Aggregated counters that make up a member's lifetime progress — levels, karma, achievements — are kept while the group uses Limzo. Detailed metadata and quotes are pruned automatically on a rolling window that depends on the group's plan:

  • Free — ~14 days of detailed metadata and quotes, ~30 days of daily aggregates.
  • Pro — ~90 days of detailed metadata and quotes, ~1 year of aggregate trends.
  • Community — ~1 year of detailed metadata and quotes, ~2 years of aggregate trends.

Exact windows are set per data type and may be adjusted; the principle doesn't change — detail is short-lived, high-level trends live longer, and everything can be deleted on demand.

What's public, and what isn't

Each group gets a public stats page at limzo.com/s/yourgroup showing leaderboards, levels, achievements, activity charts and — if enabled — quote excerpts. On Free plans the page is public with a 7-day view. Pro and Community admins can set the page to public, unlisted, or fully private, and can disable quotes.

The public page shows aggregated community stats and short quote excerpts from the group — it is not a searchable archive of everyone's messages. If a member is removed by moderation or an admin adds a term to the blocklist, related content is filtered from the public page and reports.

Private Telegram groups get extra protection automatically: if a group has no public t.me address, Limzo never shows verbatim message content on its stats page — no quotes, discussion previews, or pinned-message text, on any plan. Only aggregate stats, leaderboards, and levels appear, and the page is marked as a private group.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data and we do not share it with advertisers. Data is processed by a small number of infrastructure providers strictly to run the service:

  • Telegram — delivers group updates to the bot and hosts the Mini App and payments. Telegram's own terms and privacy policy govern that platform.
  • Payments — paid plans and member flair use Telegram Stars. Telegram processes the payment; Limzo receives a confirmation and a charge reference, not your card details.
  • Hosting — our servers and database run on standard cloud infrastructure used only to operate Limzo.
  • Website analytics — limzo.com uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate site traffic. This applies to the marketing site, not to your group's private data.

Your controls

  • Delete everything — one confirmation in the Mini App permanently deletes all data Limzo stored for the group and disables its public page.
  • Remove the bot — removing Limzo from the group stops all new tracking immediately, and the group's stored stats are automatically deleted about 90 days later (use Delete everything for an immediate wipe).
  • Turn off quotes — disables collection and display of message excerpts.
  • Control visibility — set the public page to public, unlisted, or private (paid plans).
  • Member requests — if you're a group member with a concern about content on a page, contact the group's admins, or email us at [email protected] and we'll help.

Children & changes

Limzo is intended for group communities using Telegram in line with Telegram's minimum-age requirements; it is not directed at children under those limits.

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy. Reach us any time at [email protected].
